10-26 The Islamic State of Iraq / News Brief for North Karkh Sector- Baghdad Provinc

The Islamic State of Iraq / News Brief for North Karkh Sector- Baghdad Province
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family and his companions in entirety.
This is the news brief for the military operations carried out by the Mujahideen of the Islamic State of Iraq (may Allah honor it) in the North Karkh sector- Baghdad province, during 01/09/2008 to 30/09/2008. All praise is due to Allah.
1. On 15/9/2008: Detonating an explosive device at a police checkpoint in al-Khadra'a quarter to leave an element killed and two others injured.
2. On 17/9/2008: Detonating an explosive device at a patrol for the Interior Commandos in al-Jamia'ah quarter to leave all its elements either killed or wounded .
3. On 18/9/2008: Detonating two explosive devices; one at a center for Ad-Dajjal (Mouqtada Sader) army and the other at a police patrol in al-Harithiah region. This resulted in the death or injury of a number of them.
4. On 18/9/2008: Detonating an explosive device at a police checkpoint on the highway between al-Adel and al-Jamia'ah quarters, that resulted in the death of a policeman and the injury of another.
5. On 20/9/2008: Detonating an explosive device at the apostate police in al-Baddalah street to result in the death of nine of them.
6. On 20/9/2008: Detonating an explosive device at a patrol for the National Guard in al-Baddalah street in al-Ghazaliah region, that resulted in the death or injury of four of them.
7. On 20/9/2008: Attacking a superior officer in the Interior in al-Adl quarter to leave him- along with his driver- dead.
8. On 21/9/2008: Detonating an explosive device in al-Harithia region at a consultant at the Finance Ministry of the infidel Maliki government, that resulted in his injury and his driver's death.
9. On 25/9/2008: Detonating an explosive device at one of al-Ghazaliah's checkpoints, against the car of Hasan al-Rawi, a member of the "Islamic" Party, to result in his death and his son's injury.
10. On 27/9/2008: Detonating an explosive device at a police patrol, that resulted in the death or injury of four of them.
11. On 26/9/2008: Detonating an explosive device in Hai al-Jamia'ah region.
12. On 23/9/2008: Assassinating the leader of al-Furat quarter's Awakening Council.
13. On 24/9/2008: Killing five spies in al-Huriah region, al-Dawlaee.
14. On 25/9/2008: Detonating an explosive device at three spies in al-Huriah region.
15. On 28/9/2008: Detonating an explosive device, in al-Mansor region –near al-Azaim restaurant, at a Hummer vehicle for the National Guard, that resulted in the death of a soldier and the injury of three others.
16. Blowing up four houses belonging to spies working for the crusader troops; three houses were in al-Ghazaliah and one in al-Ameriah.
17. On 9/9/2008: Injuring the major general Hussein Moeen, commander of the Prime Ministry battalion, after detonating an explosive device in front of his house in al-Harithiah region.
18. On 9/9/2008: Implanting an explosive device in the car of Jawad al-Hattab, chief of al-Arabia channel in Iraq, but it was discovered by his driver and was detonated before the police came.
19. On 12/9/2008: Detonating an explosive device in al-Mansor region to kill a soldier. Another explosive device was detonated at a vehicle for the National Guard to leave one soldier wounded.
20. Detonating an explosive device at the entrance of a US base.
21. On 16/9/2008: Assassinating a police officer in al-Ghazaliah after al-Isha'a prayer.
These operations were part of al-Karama (The Dignity) Plan, which was declared by Ameer Al-Mu’meneen Sheikh Abu Omar al-Baghdadi (may Allah protect him), leader of the Islamic State of Iraq.
